I was given some of this thread and it says quilting thread on it. Does that mean handquilting or big machine quilting or just sewing blocks together?? I tryed just sewing with it and the fabric just rolles into a ball behind the pressure foot. Hopalongdonna :Canada :nc:

YLI quilting thread is usually meant for TOP stitching a quilt. Either free motion or regular quilting. It's 'heavy' thread. If you're using it for regular sewing you may have to adjust your tensions and use a different needle (top stitch or denim). It's not really good for 'regular' sewing.

does it say if it is a 40 or 50 weight? YLI is a one of the better threads out there.
