Anyone know good instructions to make a DIY purse? I have a few men's dress shirts I want to convert into purses (using the button placket, pocket etc. for detail). There are some livejournal communities that do this, but many have some pretty flimsy-looking results.

Anyone know of an online tutorial for this? Or have some tips at how to line a purse? OR make a WELT POCKET IN THE LINING? (which I'm scared to try!)

Thank you!

Kelly

Not exactly what you're looking for, but this is for making a purse from a suit jacket - which I'm dying to try. If you haven't seen this site before, you may want to search it, or ask if there's a tutorial available. I do love this site, lots of stuff I've never seen before.
