Hi all, I am planning a sampler quilt for my MIL for Christmas, using some of my favorite blocks. They will all be 12 inch blocks, but some have 9 squares, and some have 16 squares, making up the block that is. Would that look alright? :nc: I was planning on using a thin border between the blocks to separate them. Hope this makes some sense. Thanks in advance, and please be honest. :re:

sounds Ok to me....as long as you don't use too many 'prints' in the fabric.
(then it might look a little busy)

sounds good to me especially if they are alternated and separated with some sashing. Lucky MIL!

I am planning to use butterfly and dragonfly fabric as the prints, with coordinating solids as in Moda marbles, tone on tones, fossil ferns...I had fun last night matching solids to prints and I think it will look pretty.Besides it will hafe the sashing to separate blocks. sooooooooooooooo Thanks for the input. :bluewink:
