Hello everyone, I got many links to this board when looking for the question I need to ask. So I figured I may as well register and find out. LOL I was hired thru a friend to design a logo for a girl starting her own business. I have no probs figuring out what to charge for that-but she wants it embroidered on a shirt. Easy enough if I had the machine to do it-but I don't. The friend who told her about me, also informed her I have been sewing since I was about 13.

I have no problems oing it by hand either, but have no clue what to charge her. I have found sites online for machine pricing, but the time it takes to do it by hand is so much different.

Any advice??

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to Sew Whats New.

Your job is going to be a one time project and I have no idea what to tell you. Handwork is vastly underrated in terms of $$$. What would you charge for a couple of hours of hemming or alterations.
