Hello everyone, I got many links to this board when looking for the question I need to ask. So I figured I may as well register and find out. LOL I was hired thru a friend to design a logo for a girl starting her own business. I have no probs figuring out what to charge for that-but she wants it embroidered on a shirt. Easy enough if I had the machine to do it-but I don't. The friend who told her about me, also informed her I have been sewing since I was about 13. I have no problems oing it by hand either, but have no clue what to charge her. I have found sites online for machine pricing, but the time it takes to do it by hand is so much different. Any advice?? Thanks in advance |

Hi and welcome to Sew Whats New. Your job is going to be a one time project and I have no idea what to tell you. Handwork is vastly underrated in terms of $$$. What would you charge for a couple of hours of hemming or alterations. MaryW
