I am making the Burmese jacket from Folkwear #134 (http://folkwear.com/134.html) for myself and my daughter, and I want to line the jacket. I don't really know how to do this professionally and I was hoping one of you may be able to steer me in the right direction. Pam, I read your tips to suzan from 12-29 in her lining thread (http://swn-archive.sew-whats-up.com/t-14507.html&referrerid=15121). You obviously know what you're talking about, but it just made me scared and confused and I had to huddle under my bed and cry! Anyone knowing of a tutorial online... I may just call up a few seamstresses in town and pay them for a private lesson! see the mundane life of a housewife.

Blackie: Here is a link from Threads magazine that gives a step by step tutorial on lining a jacket. They call is "bagging a lining". I've used these instructions and it is really easy and simple to do. http://www.taunton.com/threads/pages/t00034.asp Patsy Patsy
