If you could spend one year in perfect happiness but afterward would remember nothing of the experience would you do so? If not, why not?

No...I like to remember, see, feel, smell, EVERYTHING....I've forgotten too much already (like how to read music....). Experiences are what make you, you...so why forget them...(bad or good).

I think I have to agree with Chrys. I'd want to remember it, for when those days come that you just don't want to get out of bed, it'd give me a reason!

Life is too short to give up a year. Perfect happiness wouldn't exist unless you have something to contrast it with.
I'll take my joy in tiny doses -- just a wonderful moment at a time, but lots of them spread over time. That way you get several years when you put them all together.

Boy, talk about a tough question!!!
but I came to the conclusion that not remembering a year of happiness isn't worth it. If there is a happy moment in my life, I enjoy it and tuck it away, so I can get it out to help me over the rough spots.

Hard one - think I would go for the memories, even if I can't remember them, I think my body and spirit does!

No, that would not be for me either. I like to experience and remember as much about life as I can. Having survived brain surgery I realized how important memories are.
