They plan to evacuate the entire city of New Orleans. That sounds like just about the biggest job ever. I can't imagine what the mayor and police must be going thru. And why are people shooting at planes and buses???

I received this last night from Embroidables.com. I checked with Jami, the funds will be donated to the LDC humanitarian organization. They give all the money donated directly to the place you say. The church pays for the paperwork. This is one thing that we can do to help the people of the Gulf Coast. I can't even imagine how terrible it must be there, but watching Fox most of the day yesterday really gives you a great insite. To see what those people have been living in for 5 days now makes you want to cry. One of the commentators said it was worse than a 3rd world country. American's always come together to help fellow Americans. This won't be any different. 100% of Sept. 2nd sales will go to Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort On January 1, 2005 we were awestruck with the generosity of our customers when hundreds of you donated thousands of dollars to help relieve the suffering caused by the Tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia. Eight months later, we are again pledging to donate 100% of our September 2nd sales to help relieve the heartache of our own family, friends, and fellow citizens who have suffered tremendously due to Hurricane Katrina. Please visit our website at www.Embroidables.com on Sept. 2nd and join your fellow embroidery enthusiasts in supporting this cause. Now is the time to get the designs you have wanted, knowing that 100% of your purchase will go to help those in need. Our prayers and thoughts go out to those directly affected by this disaster. Kind regards, Jami Johnson www.Embroidables.com <email address removed for privacy> |
