I was inspired to make a furry monster lunch bag by a furry monster purse I saw on Craftster. This is how I made it: I simply cut two good sized rectangles and sewed them together right sides to and turned, made 2 smaller rectangles for the front flap constructed the same way, then sewed the flap to the bag, made a strap from self fabric and sewed it on--then I used felt to make the eyes, front fangs, and inner mouth and tongue. The material was a soft, cuddly, blue microfleece. This is a pic of the outside: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/PrincessJenny/monsterlunchbagfront.jpg This is a picture of the inside: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/PrincessJenny/monsterlunchbaginside.jpg My 8 yo dd LOVES it!!!! She even tried to sneek it into beg last night to snuggle with. Jen |

That is totally adorable!! However did you come up with the idea??? I'll have to remember that for my grandson's Christmas present as he just started preschool this year.

You could sew a little pocket inside to put one of those frozen things that help keep the lunch cold. It is beautiful. Dorothy |

Great idea, Dorothy! Thanks all for the kind compliments. Gotta get to work on one for 6 yo dd. She has requested a puppy dog face on hers instead of a monster. Jen |
