I see that in this week's Joann's flyer that there is a White 4400 machine on sale for $599. Just wondering if anyone has this machine and what your thoughts are about it.
I have a White serger and really like it. Only one minor problem that I could fix myself. Just wondering about the embroidery machine.

Hello,
One problem, for me is that you have to use a computer in conjunction with the embroidery machine...
I have seen the 3300 though, no computer needed, and read good reviews by owners.
Another machine worth looking at might be the Brother 270D (disney)from Walmart $438. It is like similar to the Innovis 500D (Pooh). It is a nice little machine and Walmart has a 90 day return on ALL sewing/embroidery machines.

I bought the white 3300 from Joannes. I really likre it, and it is all that I need. I mainly use it for baby and kids clothes. The people at the dealer's in joannes were helpful and give classes in how to use it. I paid under 500 for it, too!

Thanks for the input. I didn't realize that you had to use a computer along with that machine.....NOT a feature that I'd be interested in at all. If my computer would go down, I couldn't use the machine, I guess.
I have a Bernina right now and I really like it but just in the 'thinking stage' of getting a new one. I did look at the Husky's and the thing I didn't like about those is that there are NO built in designs...you have to buy the designs separately.
I have seen the Disney one at Walmart and that caught my eye. And the price can't be beat. I wonder , though, if it needed serviced, what you'd do about that. ??
I wish our Joann's would give classes when you buy White products. They didn't when I bought the serger. Thankfully, it had a really great instructional video otherwise I would have been sunk!
Thanks again.

The whites also come with an instructional DVD. It was very easy to follow and went over all the basics.

To military mom
If you are considering a white 4400, don't. For I got one for Xmas and had to send it back, it came with faulty software. Only to get a new one two weeks later and it is even worse. After doing 3 designs it said the thread was broke but wasn't. then the navigator wouldn't work properly. Then the bobbin thread kept bunching up on me. I am in the process of sending it back again hopefully for a refund this time. And I am not the only one whom have had problems with this machine. For every 1 that works, I am finding at least 4 others whom has had the same problems that I have had. The only good thing about this machine is the price. So keep looking and find one that will work for you.

I'm sorry to hear about the machine, CraftyLadyJ. I never did get that machine. I looked around and eventually ended up with a Brother Innovis and I just love it. It's easy to use and the designs are great.
