Listen Mate, English was MY mother tongue back when America was one of my colonies....so I'M the one who spells it right. Canadians on the other hand, are another kettle of fish. I have enough trouble with Microsoft Word not believing me and reverting to American English every time I turn around even though I tell it I want the real stuff. Bill Gates has a lot to answer for.. How do I right click when I have an optical mouse with one button - what is that other button for? love and kisses, Jan

remember what was said when Rolls Royce were asked about the power of the Silver Cloud: "sufficient". One button is more than sufficient. I still don't know what all the other buttons are for. love and kisses, Jan

Jan, where are you telling Word that you want to change to the correct English? There are a couple of different places.

I know what the other buttons are for...making ones life miserable (I almost always get the blue screen of death if I try using the side ones...of course that happens to me without the mouse too... ) Chrys

The blue screen of death isn't allowed in our house. My husband would have a coronary! He's a computer geek (self-proclaimed!) and he always keeps my paperweight...errr...I mean computer...top notch.

My ever lovin hubby does it for me - chosing the dictionary somewhere - it just forgets. My little Mac just doesn't like microsoft. I got used to Appleworks but my publisher only wants stuff in word.grrrrr. They give us certificates of computer literacy at school if we can pass a microsoft "you get this cursor when you point it here" exam. The fact that I am a Mac user is not allowed - the Corporate Giant has spoken and the world will use Microsoft Word. I get kids at school asking me how to do things and I normally say "dunno, I just drag and drop myself" I can't work out where the hell PC's put things and find them again... love and kisses, Jan
