Hello All!!!!
I am new to the board and just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Amy and I am getting back into sewing. I learned the basics of sewing a few years ago and for a while didn't make time to do anything with it. I finally have the time now and I am wanting to get into quilting as I just love quilts and what kinds of projects can be done with them.
My only hope is that I can give as much advice later as I request help now!!!!
Wish me luck!
Amy S.

Welcome Amy,
Glad you came to join us. We have a lot of avid quilters here, so visit the quilting section and you will see all kinds of discussions. We even have our own teacher, and we are in the process of making an Advent Quilt. The other boards are just as wonderful, so take the time to look around.

Hi Amy*~*
Welcome to SWN! I'm also new here, and relearning how to sew after not doing it for 30-some years. I hope your new adventures in quilting go really well for you. There are a lot of very helpful forums and threads here for any skill level (as I have found out) so I'm sure you'll be able to get any question you have answered. Everyone here is VERY nice and ready to help with any question, problem or concern. Keep us posted on your progress as we'd love to see the beautiful quilts you're going to be making!

Take care! Cookie :bg:

I am new here too like yesterday new. This looks like a great place to help and get help.
Funny I was just talking to my friend in kanas about learning to quilt. I always see them doing it in the material shops And I have made everything but a quilt for gifts. So I am excited to get there if I ever get through my
scrub project!
Hope to talk to you later in quilting.

In Montreal, because of the time difference, we usually say: 1hr later in the Maritimes. In my home it goes: a few days later at Dede's ... and not quite for the same reasons. You will love this community. Welcome.

Hello Amy,
This is to welcome you to a fine community. I am new to sewing and new to this place, as well, and I already owe a great deal of gratitude to the members here who so compassionately give of their knowhow and time. The direction they have given me is invaluable, and has contributed immeasurably to my sense of enterprise in this new undertaking. There are some advanced artisans around Sew What's New, that is for certain. Here they can also help create fellow seamstresses. The entire set-up is so great, and the spirit of perfection pervades.
Yours,
Bhadra
