I spell my name differently, but it is pronounced the same as the hurricane. I think I have heard just about every joke about it too. The other nite, I was correcting one of our dogs (ok so i yelled), just as i finished the weather man came on and said "The Fury of Rita is increasing", well, next thing i knew, hubby and daughter were laughing. Daughter said they finally named a hurricane correctly. Even my pastor asked if i had done something to really stir up my name sake. Think i will now "blow" outta here To all still picking up pieces from Katrina, good luck to you all and God Bless. To those in Rita's sights, keep safe and God Bless. Honest, I had nothing to do with it. Sewing Forever

now we all know ya did...so fess up....you had nothing to sew one day and just decided to let fly with some wind and rain... (thats what I tell my husband when the ferrets dance a lot...they're doing rain dances...and it usually rains.. ) Sometimes I wish I could come up with some wind and blow away some of the blowhards I've seen... That is funny. My cousin has a daughter named Katrina. Katrina was kidded alot about it. The first we heard about the name of that hurricane on the news, her mother said, "we know it will be a bad one now." Then she had to hear more when a tropical storm after Katrina was named Maria. Her middle name is Marie. |
