I'm wondering if any of you have ever sewn on a hand knitted trim to a fleece jacket. I'm making two for this fall/winter, one a vest and one a jacket. I bought the yarn to trim the hood on the jacket. I was thinking of knitting a long skinny strip in a stockinette so that it rolls, but do I want to hand sew it on or machine sew it?

I think a machine zig zag stitch would hold it nicely, don't you.

I'm curious to know if you have done this yet and what the results were. |

I have just cut out the pattern and its sitting on my machine waiting for me to get sewing. I haven't started knitting the trim yet, as I'm also working on finishing off a baby sweater. Honestly I have way too many things on the go. But I hope to get it done by next week and I'll let you know how it went,
