Made 2 table runners. Did not cut binding on Bias. Insufficient fabric to make a new binding strip.

What will happen to the quilted Table Runner if I use binding that is cut on the straight of the grain.

Can anyone think of another option I can use.

Thanks

If the table runner has straight edges(no curves), then it should be okay to use non-bias binding.
Take care,

Thanks Donna:

No curves, just the 90 degree angles at the end points and the sides which I think are about 90 + 45.

Was worried that it would kinda 'curl' up over time.

Franj, I always use non-bias binding on my quilts as long as they don't have curves. They turn out great. Good luck.

I usually use straight grain binding on my quilts. You just need to miter the corners.

I do my baby quilts with straight grain binding and so far so good. I actually didn't realize I was supposed to do bias until I read more about it :nc:

I use straight-grain for things that won't get a lot of wear and tear. I use bias for quilts that will be washed a lot.

I make my binding on straight of grain, unless the quilt edge is curved, scalloped, etc.
