Hi,

Mary, to answer your questions from the Cdn. newsletter about her program or her patterns - I have used a number of her patterns. They are have few pieces, very easy to understand directions - she takes things like inserted zippers and reconfigures the design/directions for the average person to understand and do easily.

She uses a lot of knits, slinky knit (very good quality) - one of her specialties. Another is outer wear - fleece, moulton (sp?) wool, waterproof fabrics. She does some pretty amazing stuff with fleece.

One of the few places I've seen that sells washable suede (top of my wish list!)

Her website is: www.macpheeworkshop.com

She used to have a retail store in Calgary but it was closed a few years ago. I don't know whether her show is still on TV or not but it was always interesting, with a wide variety of sewing-related guests.

(No, I don't have any affilitation - just sharing my personal experience).

We have a huge sewing/quilting/crafters show every year here (spring I think) and there is always a huge table of MacPhee patterns. I'd never heard of them but my MIL thinks they are fantastic.

We got her program here for a little while.. I loved it, but I was out of breath from watching her.. She talked a mile a minute.. She certainly gave you 30 minutes worth of information in her program.. Hard to do even on PBS w/o commercials.. Those sponsorship credits have gotten so they take up 5 minutes of program time.. I learned a lot from Linda's program.. Yes, she had great guests on every week.. :bg: :bg:
