I am sure all of you have met people you could say were your soul mate. I had such a person in my life then due to circumstances we moved apart only meeting in passing. She died in her mid 40's. At her funeral the church was filled with spectacular quilts she had made as in the story posted by Mary. I never knew she quilted and I thought of missed time with her. And I also wished the quilts were on display longer than they were so I could see each tiny little stitch and feel her presence.

Chrys, my grandmother said that alot too. That's a nice story Mary. It reminds me of an older quilting friend who died last winter. Some of her quilts were displayed at her funeral and some guild members picked up 2 quilts she had been working on and finished them for her husband. |
