a two piece pants pattern into a one piece for adults? One of my Kwik Sew books gives directions for doing this with childrens pants and I have had success with it and the pants fit and hang like they should and the grands just love them. Has anyone done this? Thanks.

Absolutely! The principles for making them are the same as the childrens' pants. The seam can actually be either on the outside or the inside of the pant. It is solely up to you. Most patterns place the seam on the inside of the pant leg and personally I think it is a little easier, but it may depend on the person's build as to which would be best. The reason I mention it is that the leg drops straight down from the seam that you remove instead of conforming to the body much like a straight skirt. So depending on the pattern you use and the build of the individual it is possible that you would prefer it drop at the inside leg to make the pant leg smaller.

Thanks for the input. I'll have to try it once I get the pjs made for all the grands. Thanks again.
