I have tried my hand at quilting and I am not very good at getting all of my blocks the same size and my corners never match up. Anyway, that's not the point, I have seen some of the crazy quilts on here and they are just beautiful. Could someone please give me some pointers on making one? It seems like there are not any rules or patterns, but as I am not a very experienced sewer, I would like any advice. Especially when it comes to actually quilting one. Thanks. And I also wanted to thank all of you for making me feel so welcome in your fun little world of sewing!

Have you checked out our 'Crazy Quilt' Thread in the Craft Forum? http://swn-archive.sew-whats-up.com/t-16863.html I just added a post there describing the basic process I used to make a Crazy Quilt Purse. The basic idea of Crazy Quilting is fairly easy to follow, and it does not have to be as precise as regular quilt patterns. That's one of the things I love about it! I have found several books over the years in sewing stores that give basic instructions, so you might want to look for something like that as a guide. Best of luck! Judy Judy Sall Originals

Check out your local library too. Ours had a real good book on crazy quilting. I love to make crazy quilts and crazy quilted Christmas stockings and crazy quilted purses. Violet I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.
