Hello everyone,
I haven't sewn clothing in a long time! I've been doing household sewing... curtains, table runners, decorations, etc.

Please refresh memory with any tips for blouses and pants.

Appreciate any and all responses

Thanks & God bless!

Hi Improve, I mainly quilt but there are some good sewing articles (pant fitting, etc.) on this site. You can access them by going to the Sew-What's New Home page and clicking on Sewing. To make it easier, here is a link to get there. Check out the Free Sewing Lessons and Garment Sewing - Adults.

My 2 cents  Remember to use the upper bust for measuring to get the pattern size not the full bust, then if need be do a full bust adjustment. I think my suggestion in pattern alterations would be this book .... "Fit For Real People" By Pati Palmer & Marta Alto (http://palmerpletsch.com/store/index.htm) it really goes over fitting patterns plus allot of different types of alterations you might need, including how to read different problems you might run into. To go along with it I also like their book "Pants for Real People", which is a whole book dedicated to the fitting of the pants pattern, and different types of pants patterns.

Both books are really great for reference, and starting areas for alterations of patterns for fit.
