Same rules as always here – you cannot participate if you have not participated successfully in past swaps (fq, scavenger or other swap). I will need you to email me (<email address removed for privacy>) your username, real name, mailing address & telephone number (will not be shared, only for emergencies). If you haven't participated in a past swap hosted by me, please let me know what swaps you have participated in so I may confirm with hostess. Please, even if you’ve participated in my past swaps, email me with your information so I can file it in my Stocking Swap folder.

These rules may seem strict, but based on past experiences, the board has decided to set participation rules. Before committing to this swap, please carefully consider if you will be able to fulfill the swap. If you do need to drop out of the swap or will be late, please contact me immediately. If you do not fulfill your obligation to this swap after committing, you will not be permitted to join future swaps of this type.

Try to keep your spending at about the $20 (USD) mark (PLUS postage costs). While the stocking does not have to be homemade, at least one item in the stocking must be homemade. NOTE: I’ve found that in these types of swaps, while the goal is to fill the stocking, not everything will fit inside the stocking – that is fine! What you send is up to you, but please keep your partner’s preferences in mind, esp. when it relates to any possible allergies.

Remember, should you have any questions/concerns, please let me know at any time. Once pairings are made, please please PLEASE be in contact with your swap partner frequently (at least once a week) throughout the swap. We have found that those who have not kept in touch are the ones that end up with problems at the end of the swap.

After you email me your interest, I will forward to you a questionnaire which will be sent to your swap partner. This will help her get to know you better. If you have swapped with particular people previously, you may want to remind me, as I’ve done so many of these swaps, I’m having a hard time remembering who all has been paired up before!

Pairings will be made November 2, 2005 - mail-by date December 5, 2005.

Please be sure to stay in touch with your partner during this time to help ensure a successful swap. If you will be late mailing, please contact me as well as your partner.

Okay, now if you’re still reading after all these rules, post and let me know you’re in!

11/3/05 - All of the pairing emails have gone out - if you don't receive, please let me know. NOTE: Please keep in touch with your partner - this is to ensure success in this swap! Mail by date is December 1 - that gives you just under a month for shopping.

Also Note: There were a couple questionnaires that I swear I got but coudln't find when it came time to mail. Please be in touch with your partner to make sure she knows more about you than she ever wanted to know!

OKNana, that's why I have my user name and password the same for all of my forums I belong to. If I get assigned one of those weird qz87tu23 passwords that are just random, I change it as soon as I log in. I forget things way too easily.

It came in handy on Sunday because my computer had died on Saturday and hubby bought me a new computer. Because all my cookies were gone, I had to re-login everywhere. Didn't take long!

I do the same thing-same name & password for everything. Easier that way-except for the stupid places that won't let me use what I want. I also keep a small notebook with all the forums, etc that I belong to and write down my user name and password- just in case.

I have heard it is easier to sign up with the same password everywherebut I guess with working with WMART they have taught me to go different with everything. If a hacker gets in he/she will have access to all your accounts. I know most likely won;'t happen but I don't think it hurts to be safe, But then you are out of attempts to login sometimes~ LOL~~~~~~~~~~
SO what do ya do??????????????????????? One is good as another probably. Well lunch is over I best rush back to work~
Thanks for the hints girls~

pairings posted in message 2! Emails went out tonight  Let me know if you've had this partner more than once already - my computer is on the fritz and I can't open my old files of who has been paired previously. I just put names in a hat and drew them that way. With all the swaps we've done, I'm sure we'll have duplications, but if it seems you've been paired with someone a LOT, let me know and I'll shuffle!

REMINDER: To ensure success, please keep in contact with your partner throughout the next month! The mail-by date is December 1, 2005. Please let me know if any problems/concerns come up in the next month.

I am good to go! Got my last little bit of shopping done today for her and should be ready to go on the 1st of Dec! Went to a craft show, and got that little extra for my buddy!
PCG, thank you for doing this swap. I have had a ton of fun in doing it and picking out just the right thing for my partner. Do you do this annually? It is a great idea, so be sure and include me for the 2006 one if you do it, please!
Thanks! OKNANA

WOO HOO! I got my package from Krystal today!

I got a fun stocking, hand-painted by Krystal (my daughter is jealous that now I have TWO stockings! )
music cd - we listened to it while opening the package!
2 pairs of fun holiday socks
a beautiful lighthouse pin - it's already on my coat! My hubby loves it, as he's from N. Michigan, right on Lake Michigan, so he enjoys the lighthouses!
2 quilty postcards
book of teddy bear postcards - yes, my biggest collection is college/university cards, but I love any and all postcards!
a wonderful homemade fleece (blue with snowflakes) scarf & poncho!!
ducky rubber stamper
spongebob neck leash and scissors (that my daughter is also jealous of!) Where did you get the leash thing? That's a great idea for my girls!
AWESOME ducky bathroom towel - fits perfectly in my ducky bathroom!

Thank you so much, everything is wonderful!

OH, and of course the kids love the hershey's kisses too!

I got mine today! My partner did great! She gave me a gigundo stocking that she personalized for me. Inside were some great fabrics, some placemats that she personalized, some napkins that were folded up so they look like a shirt or kimono, a table runner, a chicken soup for the soul book, some honey roasted peanuts. I might be forgetting something because the stocking is downstairs and I'm upstairs! Oh yeah, some beautiful jingle bells for my door too!

Thanks so much, this was fun!!

Kittykat,
I mailed yours this am.. I sent you an e-mail.., but I just noticed that your town name was not complete in the e-mail you sent me originally.. I hope you get your package, it is addressed to Bellingha Wa. (this is what was on your E-mail and I did not know any better.. I sent it Priority Mail.. Of course, they are supposed to pay more attention to Zip Codes than cities, so maybe it won't matter.. Now, I'm worried..

I mailed Lyn's package on Monday. She should be getting it any day, as I mailed it first class.
I received my package from Lyn, and WOW! It was awesome! She made me Christmas placemats and napkins (she does beautiful serger work!), FQs, socks, snowman ornament, pattern, stabilizer, baby quilt book, car air freshener, that is deliciously smelling up my entire room, sewing notions, and the cutest handmade scrapbooking items such as a pocket calendar, magnet. And some goodies, too.
Thank you so much, Lyn!

Hello Karen, oh stocking buddy, what a wonderful way to finish my day, finding that fun package in my door. My DGD helped me open and here is what we found: a cute Santa stocking, great quilt magazine, fall and christmas candles, a fuzzy moose ornament that my GD is trying to put in her bookbag, Christmas ribbon, vanilla soap, buttermilk bath, peppermints and tiny mint chocolates that I snatched BACK out of my GD's bookbag...lol
Adorable reindeer socks, lubriderm lotion, for our awful cold winters and last but not least some really interesting beads. THANK YOU SO much Karen, this was a blast. I hope you don;t mind, alot of the stuff I sent you was homemade...Thank you also to SHari for hostessing this swap...
