I just bought the most delicious fabric to make a lined jacket for myself, its a boucle tweed mostly beiges, browns, with plum, pumpkin, blues in it with a plum satin lining using McCalls 4928 (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M4928.htm?tab=jackets_coats&page=1) I can't wait to get at it!! It's going to be my birthday present to myself

Nice jacket-it will be wonderful in the fabrics you described! Please show us a picture when you are done.

Are you going to fringe it? I've made a couple silk tweed jackets but both feature fantastic linings which I carried out to the lapels so I didn't do fringe. Let us know how it goes. Dorothy |

I plan on fringeing it, I really liked the article in Nov Threads which got me into the idea of doing this. But I'd sure like to show off the lining, guess it'll just have to be seen when I casually flip the side back or something
