What a surprise to come home too. I had a very stressful day at work today. I worked 11 hours. When I came home, to my surprise, my husband had brought in the mail and set the package right on the dining room table. It immediately put a smile on my face. Thanks! ladies, they are all so wonderful. Everyone one of them. You Canadian girls, I hope you get yours on Monday.
Thanks Brenda for hosting this great swap. I also received 19 blocks (just one of my own) and some extra material? No name on it. I'm sure Brenda will explain.

I really do not want to make Carman :bluesad:... so I will NOT let you all know that I am so happy to belong to a wonderful group of "wonder women"!!

As I was daydreaming of the parcel arriving on my doorstep, I caught the vibraton of the energy that produced these "thoughts" of 12 1/2" squares  I could "feel" the love!!!

So... I will not say :nah: as dreams do come true and I love every single one of them...

Carman.. the border patrol are fondling the goods :bang:

Thank you everyone..

I went to my favorite quilt store today, to pick up my BOMs and told them I needed help in figuring out what material to buy to put this quilt together. They were so helpful and helped me even figure out how much I need and what to cut the widths in order to make it the finished size. So I now have to get busy! I'm making it for our king sized water bed. I also am making some xmas pillow cases with a border that will match the border on the quilt. They want me to bring it in, when I finish it. I'm so excited to start it, but I can't until I finish a couple of things I'm working on.

Thank you soooo much to all who participated - they really do look nice! Thanks to Brenda for collecting them all and sending them out.

I remember Brenda saying that one of the ladies sent extra fabric because she said her block didn't come out to 12.5, but I don't remember who that was. I think we have a GREAT variety.

You had better put the finished quilt with accessories on your web site when finished.!!!!

Hello everyone

Sorry I haven't posted the last few days ... been battling a really bad neck and arm pain (had to go to the ER for shots as the pain was so unbearable). Anyway ... I cannot type long as it still hurts but wanted to post something ..

Glad some of you received the blocks ...

The blocks should be in order:
1. BRG
2. GreenDragonLady
3. Debby215
4. Esrun3
5. HeyJudee
6. Hogmami
7. thisNthat
8. KittyKat
9 Karebear
10. Oklahomanana
11. SailorLiz
12. Leapfrog Libby
13 Angels13blue
14. Carman
15. Twins22
16. Feona_deleon
17. Kem25
18.TJ67
19. Dorene (aka Oklahomanana)

You may notice you have an extra block or two of your own - that's because one person did not send in their blocks so sending it back. However, I still have 3 extra blocks and I do not know who it belongs to ... so please make sure you check your set, okay?

You will also notice a fat quarter in your zippy lock - the blue one - that's my Christmas gift to you :) and a big thank you for participating in the holiday swap.

Of all days for me to bring in the mail late, it was Friday.. I had errands to run, so I got off the computer, ran my errands, took a long time shopping and when I got back , went to the mailbox (its on the street) and yelled very loud when I opened the door and saw my envelope there.. I could not wait to get in the house and tear open that envelope.. What beauty !!! I am so grateful for all these beautiful blocks ... Thanks to Brenda for all your hard work.. Hope you are feeling better by now.. Thanks for the FQ.. I love it.. I never can find enough Christmas fabric with blue background.. I got all the blocks I should have and no extras.. 18 from others and 2 of mine... They are all so beautiful, and I cannot wait to spread them all out to decide how to put them together... I am going to do this elsewhere, on tables so I can have room to move them around etc... Thanks everyone, and double thanks to Brenda ! !

HeyJudee, that was sure nice of you to do that! Especially to have each block separately so you can really see them. Except now that I look at my block sort of objectively I can tell that my red swirl is TOO red! That's it, everyone send theirs back to me so I can re-do them!! :bang:

Guys -

I am really sorry if I am out of it with this swap and who's missing what ... I have been on strong medications for a week now and will be going through a procedure on Friday morning for my neck pain .... I don't know who's missing what ... please send me an email (<email address removed for privacy>) so I know what's going on and stuff. I will mail you the missing block as early as next week once things settle down after Friday.

Many apologies in advance.

Brenda hope you are feeling well again soon!!

I've decided to do a sashing between each block with a black fabric I found that has silver stars on it-more Christmasy stars than star stars-if that makes any sense. Thinking that will set off each block nicely and the stars are well spread out so there won't be a lot of them in each strip-just enough for some glitter. Haven't decided on a backing yet. Now if I can find time to do it!! :bg:

Brenda, that will be very cute! I love gingerbread men! I'm hoping the black I'm using will set off the blocks well-had some trouble putting them side by side as some blend in with others as the colors are close matches and I want each to stand and shine on it's own as they are all wonderful!! Hope those that didn't get a chance to join us this time will next time around.
