Has anyone ever tried embroidering on paper or thin card? I have been told that it is possible and is a good way of machining designs for making cards. I wonder what needle would be used and how to hold the card - presumably with sticky. Any ideas anyone?

I took a class once from Mac ??? cannot remember the rest of her name but she is the one who did the scrabble outfit for a threads challenge once, she embroiders on EVERYTHING. For paper, my notes say... Use an outline design only, expand the design as coarsely as possible (larger stitches and not dense at all) She only did punch holes for paper as far as I can remember ie for lampshades etc. Neat effects, but if you back it with tulle or fine net you may be able to use thread.
