Hey there, all you sewing business gals & guys!

I am working on a links/resources page for my website, Studio Opal (http://www.studioopal.ca) and would like to trade links with those of you who are in the sewing business. Designers...yup! Alterations...yup! Custom sewing...definitely! Education providers...yes! Sewing machine sellers...please! Fabric/notions retailers...absolutely!

It doesn't matter what the geographic location is because, as you know, the web is a wonderful thing and we get folks visiting our website from all over the world. The only thing I would really ask is that your website be up-to-date.

I love teaching sewing, and the students who take our classes ask for all kinds of things that I just can't give them, so what I am hoping to do is create a support infrastructure where we teach folks to sew and they buy stuff from you and you send them to us for lessons and they buy more stuff from you and they want more lessons so they can make more...you get the idea.

We also get tons of calls/emails for referrals to PROFESSIONAL alterationists/fitting specialists and custom sewists from people who aren't interested in sewing their own things.

For those of you who are located in the GTA, perhaps we should consider meeting up to talk about ways we can help each other out. I have a zillion ideas that I would love to share.

You can email me, pm me, im on yahoo, or just plain old post here.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone!
Jo-Anne

Sounds like a winner idea to me! However, what about those of us who sew professionally but do not have a website?

Just wondering.
