I finally got the free feet pack that was supposed to come with my Elna 686 ( got for my birthday last year...) It has bead/sequin, elastic, cording, taping, blind hem/lace and shirring feet. These look to be a fairly generic set. What is confusing me is that they have sent an instruction book with them congratulating me on buying my new Bernina 1230.

Are these things all interchangable or have I got to chase them AGAIN!!!

Having had another look, none of the feet match the pictures in the Bernina book - yet it is sent from Elna....

You own the Elna 686 serger correct? The feet that you described sound like feet for a serger. There is an overlock pkg that Pfaff puts out just as you described your feet to be. Many Pfaff and Elna serger feet are the same. Isn't the Bernina 1230 a sewing machine. I also thought Juki made the Bernina sergers. Where were the feet ordered from? Something is confused but you do seem to have serger feet..and the Pfaff foot pkg that I use on my Elna 744 supposedly cannot be used on some of the other Elna models. They can be used on the Elna 945. There were other feet for the other Elna models. I really cannot guess what feet you have but I would just try them out on your serger and see if they fit and go from there. Please post back how it went..good luck to you.

Yup, thats what I thought too. Some of the feet do have room for twin needles in which just confuses me more.

Whoops, you posted when I was editing my first post..I added some info to it. If there is room for twin needles on the feet..if they are the overlock pkg for sergers they were actually designed for the Elna and Pfaff coverhems except a non coverhem Pfaff 4842 could also use them also. Elna models below the Elna coverhems can't use them as far as I know. If they are not made for your serger they probably won't fit..I think trying them out will tell the story.

Thanks Kylnne, I am guessing they are serger feet but for some obscure and confusing reason they sent me the Bernina book - they were sent direct from Elna which is what confuses me more. I have ordered a How to use a seger type book off Amazon so hopefully when that arrives it might give me a bit more info. I need to phone the store and query them.

The Pfaff serger feet set that I use on my Elna came with a little book explaining their multiple uses. I'm surprised that Elna didn't send info and pictures on how to use the feet. They are similar feet that you seemed to have rec'd. Foot D is the blindhem foot, foot Q is the band and braiding foot, foot G is the gathering/shirring foot. Do your feet have letters on them?
