I am altering a slacks pattern at the crotch seam. I had to increase the length of the back crotch seam approx. 2 inches and reduce the front crotch seam approx. 1 inch.

My delima is if I make the above adjustments, the side seams will not be the same length. How do I get the side seams to be the same length?

I have to do the opposite which is shorten and I take like a dart shape out so that the side seams stays the same but the back crotch is shorter. SO to increase the length I would slit the pattern to seam allaowance on the side seam and stretch the crotch the amount you need.
Hope this is clear :bluesmile
