Hi, everybody. I'm hoping someone can help me with this; how do you make a keyhole neckline out of a scoop neck shirt? I'm making a blouse that has neck ties. But, I'm changing it from V neck to scoop neck and then I'd like to attach the ties to the neck the same way. That way when I pull the ties together to tie them, the scoop part of the neckline will make a loose kind of keyhole. The shirt is going to be made from georgette, so it's really drapey already. Is there something that I need to know before I attempt this? -Danielle |

Is a scoop neck lower than a keyhole?

It just depends on how long you want the keyhole to be. In this case, I want it to be fairly long. |

Can you kind of pull it into the shape you want before you put in the facing or binding or whatever finish you are doing to see how the shape is and what you need to do to get it like you want it? Maybe with a muslin? Dorothy |
