Hi, quilters and sewing enthusiasts. In Sept. of this yr, I volunteered at an evacuee camp near me, and got to know some of the 125 people from New Orleans that were brought there. Several families decided to make Batesville, AR (where I live) their home. I just found out, on Thanksgiving day that one of these families, a man/woman/two daughters, 17 & 18/son & pregnant fiancee, 19 & 18, have NO warm clothes. They are all at least a size 2x, and the local thrift shops, etc., have nothing to fit them. I've been selling some of my stash, paring down to what I reasonable think I might use in my lifetime, to help with our own finances, as my DH is 70, and I'm disabled. However, finding out that these people really need coats, sweaters, etc., we've decided that for our Christmas gift, we'd like to try to provide these things to this family. Beow are a couple of collections for sale, for your consideration. I have patterns, kits, lots of other fabrics, too. If you need/want something to enhance your stash, and also would like to help us buy warm clothes for this family, contact me - Becky <email address removed for privacy> 21 Hoffman FQs - a wonderful sampler of this great manufacturer's fabrics - $30 includes postage in the US Watercolor Bonanza - 225 2" Squares + 40 Fat 8ths + 4 FQs + over 3 yards of Quilt Fuse, a gridded fusible perfect for Watercolor Quilts $50 includes postage in the US |
