I am a new, and newly obsessed, owner of a Janome 9500. My husband wonders if I am ever going to leave my new sewing room (our guest bedroom). I am having trouble with my Giga Hoop. When trying to embroidery in the middle of a fleece blanket, the left side of the hoop is weighted down and therefore gets out of alignment. Actually, it never really starts in alignment. When I first attach the hoop and try and align the needle through the grid hole, I can't without lifting up the design on the left hand side (the part that is weighted down with the blanket/not supported by the machine base). What am I doing wrong? How do I support the left side of the hoop so it doesn't pull down the design. Any help would be appreciated. thnx, johnson mom

You need a table to support your giga. You used to be able to get them online. You might try your dealer. The table is shaped like an L, so it fits on the side and front of the machine, but doesn't interfer with the arm.

You also might have to hold it, if the quilt is bigger than a 36X36. All the weight will pull the giga alignment out.

I know that Jim Stutsman ( www.mc10000.com ) used to sell them, you might leave him e-mail on his web site.

Or at www.clubj.onlinesewing.com

The tables come with bases that help you place your machine and embroidery unit properly. Be sure that you find one that is made for your machine and the hoop.
