Had a lady come into where I work today and told me that when she sergers her material together she staples the seams together. Then when the edge is cut off the staples go with it. Has anyone else ever tried this or heard of it?

No but you wouldn't want to hit the serger blade with the stables because it would dull them. I always just pin parallel to the seamline or I pull the pins as I get close.

I've heard of it once before. Not having a serger, I can't really comment. But, I'd have to agree with Paroper, I'd hate to ding a blade. But, man it seems a quicker way, since you don't have to worry about grabbing the pins. Ticia |
