Hello all I have another question. I have an Easy Stitch and Save pattern #9058 by McCall. The problem is I was never able to finish. I manage to get the bottom all put together but not finalized to be attached to the top. I am also a different size now so the size I initially cut the pattern out for is to small but the bottom is big enough to make into a skirt. Can someone please give me some info on the easiest way to make this into a shirt. All and any input is appreciated! Thank you

If it is fitted, add a 7 ir 9 inch zipper to the side or back and use 1 inch grograin ribbon for the top. Run a row of basing at the seamline of the top of the skirt. Lay your grograin against the seamline and sew very close to the edge. Fold the ribbon down and tack it at the side seams and the darts. Press the top well. This will make a nice skirt without a waistband. This will work well since you may or may not have the fabric to make a band.

If you'd rather, you can make a waistband though. 1 1/4 Inch plus the twice the wide (three inches for a 1 1/2 inch waistband, 4 for a 2 inch) would equal the width of the cut. Your waist measurment plus 1/2 inch for ease plus 1 1/4 inch for seam allowance plus 2 inches for underlap (for a broad hook closing), I'd do 2 1/2 inch underlap for button and button hole closing should do it for the length of a waistband.
