I found a pattern online to make fleece mittens for my boys (3, 2, 1) and I will be going to the store very briefly here to pick up the fleece. My question is: What kind of fleece would be best for this project. There are a few kinds. We live in Chicago and it can get sorta cold. So what would be the best type of Fleece. THANKS for your help!! I am sure I will probably only need 1yd or less, seeing as their hands aren't too big. Kendra Neal Frugal Family Manager to: DH-Harlin Joshua 3, Nathan 2, Daniel 1 |

Microfleece or Polartec will pill the least. 100 weight is lighter weight, 200 heavier, etc., 300 is the heaviest weight and warmest. I would put some ripstop nylon on the outside to stop the wind from blowing through the mittens or use windstop fleece. |
