Thanks for the link. Gee I didn't know the new machines told one how many hours of continous sewing one can do with them. She must have everything cut and ready to go. Hope to see the results.

I once sewed for 72 hours straight. I had a "friend" put me in a pickle. At the first of the school year she had asked me to make 48 choir dresses. She brought me the fabric, only 3 3-size patterns and I took the measurments.

Then she told me that some of the kids would have someone else making the dresses. I kept pressing her to tell me which dresses I would be making so I could get started but she kept telling me that she couldn't because they hadn't paid. Finally, a week and a half before the concert, she told me I needed to make 6 dresses which I knew I could do but she wouldn't give the persons' names. I finally nailed her down on Friday evening (by now I was getting nervous that I would have time to make the 6 dresses) That was when she told me that I was expected to make 27 dresses by TUESDAY!!!! I told her it couldn't be done and she insisted it had better be done. I cut them all out on Friday evening. Sewed them together to a place I could mark hems by Mon afternoon. I lacked 5 sleeves on Tuesday. I didn't sleep from Saturday through Tuesday. My computerized machine did fine but I collasped.

I love to sew and can spend all day in the sewing room but, I promised myself sewing would be fun and when it became a job or chore I would have to change my ways.

The main reason I started sewing was to get my mind off the stress of working in a busy emergency room and life in general.
