While I am sitting on the couch in the evening with knitting needles in hand, DH & I are watching the TV news & evening shows. I look over on the couch next to me and see my Siamese kneading my yarn, purring very loudly, then she will lay down on the yarn curl her paws inwards so she can suck on one (just like a little kid sucks their thumb!!!). Then she will take her other paw and reach it out to touch my knee, and then she falls asleep......

Awe! That is so cute. My Molly (Dog), jumps up in my lap while knitting and uses her paw to try and knock the needles out of my hand. She wants me to pet her instead of knitting! Then if I tell her to get down, she will reach for my yarn at the end of the needle like she is trying to pull it off the needle.

She is a very needy dog. :bg:
Happy sewing/quilting/crafting

We used to have a cat that would sit and bat the needles as my mom knit. Since I don't have a cat, happiness for me is sitting playing with my 3 month old granddaughter and getting her to smile.

This same cat last night has now discovered that the balls of yarn are fun to get in her mouth and throw up in the air and then chase around the room. I let her do it, probably shouldn't have, but I felt so sorry for her. My two older cats will not have anything to do with her and I really think that she is lonely :bluesad:. She would only hang with her brother that we lost last May, but I really don't want to get another cat!!!!!

Happiness is having my GDK's call and ask when I'm coming back to Ohio. Also asking for more homemade jammies for winter. Looking at the pile of crochet items and knowing that I have lots of things to give away for Christmas makes me feel productive on those nights I just have to watch tv. Not a big waste of time if you have something to show for it.

Happiness is.............

Completing sweater #2, and it fits!!!!!!

This doesn't make my poor kitty very happy, she thought it was a new bed for her to curl up on whenever I would put it down to go and do something else!!! Guess I will have to take the left overs and make her a bed, she sure does love to help me knit. Everytime I sit down to do it and she see the needles come out, she's right there wanting to be right in the middle of what I'm doing.

When I get a chance I will take pictures of the 2 completed sweaters and my furball helper.

Happiness is pulling around a sweater that my MIL made me a few yrs ago. (it's WAY too big and WAY too green/blue) The ferrets get in the sleeves or neck and play chase me, while it's being pulled all over the house. They LOVE fuzzy things. I got them some cheap fuzzy fabric at JoAnns and they love to wrestle in it..

....having dinner with all my family.

My cat Oona, was very jealous of knitting. I like to read and knit or, as many of you, watch tele and knit. If I was reading she would sit on my book and stare in my face and stop me. She developed the art of the stealth sneak to crawl in between laptop and user - I swear she learnt where the escape key was just to get attention.
love and kisses, Jan
