Well... I have one pair of pjs done, the other three just need ribbing and hemming etc, 4 scarves embroidered, three to go, and I would like to zip up a new outfit for me but I'm not sure it is going to happen yet. Have a couple of yards of silk charmeuse I could not resist begging to be made into something. how's everyone else doing with the xmas treats?
(I also have about 3/4 of my shopping done as of today  whew!!)

I sew mostly holiday print cotton and fleece. I have sewn so much for the holiday this year I was able to make a queen size and a full size quilt for the guest rooms.

Every room in my house has some holiday cheer in it. I am a big kid when it comes to Christmas and I refuse to give up.

My favorite part is Mid-night Mass. It is always so beautiful in our church. We just got a new rector and I am curious to see how she handles the mass.

Just need to tie & bind a quilt for DIL, finish up napkins for both DIL and put quilt tags on the 2 quilts I made for DIL. If I have time after that, I'm going to makea sweatshirt jacket for my GD & try to finish a quilt for my DD. I figure if I get the quilt done and the napkins (already did the placemats) then I can make what I want and not feel pressured to finish stuff up!

Anyone else doing anything?

Well lets see, I have 5 pair of flannel and flannel lined satin pjs finished except for elastic, I have 5 more pair cut out and also a robe for DGS who is 3. I think I have either 4 or 5 more to cut and sew, but I am way ahead of the game compared to other years..lol. I also have to finish a butterfly quilt I made for my MIL, something to remind her that Spring is around the corner...she really doesnt like the cold weather we have here in PA. She is originally from Tennessee...What is everyone else doing? Boy someday I would love to have Christmas quilts for all my bedrooms...I was also thinking about making a shower curtain, but have no idea where to even begin.

Crikey Deb! amazin'! I've been knitting:
I have made 1 aran sweater
2 pairs of walking socks
1 pair of little wellie socks (4 year old)
a doggie jumper
2 uteruses(uteri?)-complete with fallopian tibes and ovarys - they look like Mr Men. 1 for Head of Science at school, 1 for biologist pagan daughter..
am currently knitting a pink wig.
Still have table runner and 4 tea cosies to make...and a couple of potholders with my young apprentice
.......plenty of time!

oh and I am saving up drinks pouches to make a purse for the daughter who is getting the pink wig - a girl with style!

I only have a pair of camo shorts for my son to sew and the drapes for my 2nd oldest daughter and I'm done like dinner!! I"m going to attempt to embroider some gold leave trim for a hat for DH if I can ever find the right pattern for it. the last project, the snowboard jacket, is waiting for the pattern to show up and to see if we can get the fabric he wants, so I don't think this will be a Christmas present, probably an after Christmas present. Now - I can do some ME sewing!!

My list isn't nearly as long as Debsews or nearly as incredibly interesting  as Magot's, but here goes (lol):
I have sewn:
2 fleece scarfs (dds' best friends)
2 silk scarfs (dds' teachers)
1 fleece skirt for dd #3's xmas program today
1 fleece skirt and scarf to match above for dd's build a bear, Kayla--
who came home "only wearing a shirt, mommy, and she's cold, can you please make her a skirt?" (insert puppy dog eyes here---and what mom could resist- lol!)
1- 9 patch xmas bag for dd #3's teacher
and I assisted dd age 9 in making her very first 9 patch xmas bag for her teacher. What fun! We had a wonderful time  and she did an excellent job! (I am a proud mommy)
I have also completed all my Christmas shopping. I did it all November 30th. For me, this is unheard of as I am a Dec 24th shopper generally.
Left to do:
2 denim skirt handbags for dear nieces
1 coat for dd #2's new stuffed dog ("cuz you made one for Kayla the build a bear, mommy")
bake session for dh who began his new job in Louisville KY 3 weeks ago, and we will be separted from for Christmas this year. :bluesad:
I can't wait until January when we get to move there too!!!!

Finished the 4 tea cosies - confined to barracks with a cold (attempted to faint in the kitchen so not allowed out to go Christmas shopping) got plenty of sewing done. It always surprises me how long it takes to cut things out wrt actually sewing them together.

http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATThallowig.html this is the wig pattern. I am nearly at the fringe. (it is knit from the bottom up)

Done all 4 of the Boucle jackets. I really like that material. Another set of aprons for mom, DD's and DGD's because they have to match their mommies. Have 3 doggie beds made for ODD dogs, her little babies. A quilted Santa wall hanging, and tons of doll clothes. Christmas chair back covers with matching quilted table throw and plate. Yet to do is a reversible shaggy fleece vest and matching purse and a Boucle jacket for my gf. She fell in love with the stuff too. Fleece (shaggy) pj bottom for sons gf and GD. Have a few fabric boxes left to finish for the co-workers exhange and a few scarfs.

I stayed up late last night and made the Jeff Gordon sheets and pillowcase, hemmed 2 prs of lounge pants for dad, put the buttons and buttonholes on a gown and pj's. Today one more gown, finish the dress and make 4 pj bags. We did get a lot wrapped yesterday so that's one more thing we don't have to do. My deadline is a week earlier than usual, we're having our Christmas with the kids on the 18th. Leaving here on the 13th for Ohio. I hate that trip in the snow but gotta go!!!

Well the Christmas sweat shop is closed for the season! I finished the dress, made pj's instead of a gown, made a pr of fleece pants and hooded shirt for gds, did the pj bags and just returned from WalMart with the locks for the cords! So I am finished officially until January when I can start sewing for fun again! Then I'm going to try some of the wonderful things I see you ladies do. Thanks for all the help and encouragement during this sprint for the finish!

Made 9 aprons yesterday for a friend to give her co-workers for Christmas.. (my own original pattern made from 1 fat quarter) I added enough for a pocket on these since they were to be gifts.. They turned out great.. Of course, I chose my prettiest flower prints from my quilt fabric stash..

I have finally finished up all the sewing I needed to do for Christmas. I had wanted to make my dgd a sweatshirt jacket but ran out of town. I'm headed to Atlanta on Sunday for business so that puts the kaibosh (sp!) on getting anything else done. Oh well, I'll make her jacket after Christmas while I'm on vacation. I'm just glad I got all the main stuff done finally! 3 pairs pj's w/pillow cases, 3 quilts, 2 sets of placemats and napkins and a couple of skirts. Sat and wrapped everything tonight too so I'm DONE!! Of course, I'm sure i'll find something else to buy/make before Christmas but I'm going to try hard not to do anything big.

Sounds like everyone has been really busy!

I'm done. I have decided enough is enough and I will slowly work on the snowboarding jacket now. I passed on doing the aprons and I have a table runner to quilt for my SIL but she knows it will come in January. I have got to get some baking done this weekend, as the kids start coming early next week.

I bought 3 stockings at the dollar store for $1 each (go figure that one out!)
and embroidered a pic and name on each one for the GK's. Here's a pic, they really turned out cute. The more I attempt embroidery the better I like it. Baileys was the first one I did and I didn't have the right colors, plus my tension wasn't as good as it should have been, so I may have to go get another stocking and redo it, yet, he's 4, he probably won't even notice.

I finished my daughter's robe in time -- just hours before she arrived.
That thing was so thick it ticked off both my machines before it was finished. But she loves it and even wore it all day with clothes under it (we keep the house cooler than she is used too).
I still have a skirt to make for my other daughter but she didn't come for Xmas so she'll just get it late anyway. It won't take long once I get the glued on rhinestones off in the seam lines.
