I know that we've had allot of talk around the board about sewing with fleece, so I thought I'd share my latest fleece project. My youngest dd is plus size, so I use pattern software to design allot of her clothing. With that there are times she sees a pattern or rtw that she wants that I get to re-create within the software in her 'custom' size. The following is the link to my Picture Trail Album where you can see my knock off copy of a double fleece & curly fleece Daisy Kingdom coat I just finished for her. It is beautiful and so is she. I love the collar and cuffs. That stuff is so soft, I bet it is hard for her to keep from rubbing it against her face. Dorothy |

Laura - that really is a lovely coat! Is the fabric one of those reversable fleece to faux suede. It is a delightful mix of colours. Congratulations. Does anyone know how one can insert one of onesown smilies or picts? *~*~*~* Nancy*~*~*~* " I try to take one day at a time - but sometimes several days attack me at once."

Oh Laura, it is absolutely gorgeous! And she looks fantastic in it. You did an awesome job. Nancy - I think Pudge99 posted something about changing an avatar on the 'take a break' forum. It just has to be small enough to upload. Laura

The fabric is called 'double faced fleece'. It is basically 2 layers of fleece fused together, this stuff is thick! It has a med blue on one side and the lime green on the other. It was a work out on the sewing machine to keep it moving through it was so thick. Then that curly fleece! When you cut it - it is everywhere! Then it sheds as you sew it, then the curly pieces want to wrap around the presser foot unless you use your fingers to part the way! But that curly fleece is so very soft !!!
