I just got my Brother Disney PE-400D for my birthday from my beloved and absolutely love it! with one exception. It did NOT come with a memory card. Now when I go online and see the price of those cards, I want to run screaming in the opposite direction! Has anyone seen a 4.0 memory card that does NOT cost over $100?????

Cards of any type, for just about any machine run about $100. ($99 + tax).
Machine embroidery is an expensive hobby/business...

A better option is to buy a reader writer box. I use the Ultimate Box. That way you can get free designs online and write them to a card which you can use in your machine. The card is re-writeable. Unless you just have to have a licensed character (and even then, depending on your feelings on the subject, they can be purchased on Ebay) then there is no reason to buy the expensive cards made by the machine dealers.
