a mystery quilt? I'm beginning to be serious about trying a small wall hanging quilt and started to look for a pattern for a beginner. I came across a site that has lots of patterns, and I know what a pieced quilt is and a crazy quilt, and an applique quilt, but what's a mystery quilt?

A mystery quilt is when you get instructions of what to do to make a quilt but you have no idea what it is going to look like...until you are finished. That's the mystery! I think it is something like the block of the month where you do a block a month...when you get a bit of instructions every month, etc. Susies1955 explained it in a thread where she posted a picture of one that she had finished. Here's the link to it. http://sew-whats-new.com/vb/showthread.php?t=16092&page=1&pp=15 TTFN from
