Hi cgwriter and welcome to SWN. I don't usually sew satin...usually just do quilting but here is a link to a site with advice on needle sizes to use. Check it out. Others may be along to give you better advice. http://www.allfreecrafts.com/sewing/needle.shtml TTFN from

Satin likes a small very sharp needle. . I prefer the Schmetz microtex size 11. Have fun or don't do it, Tom
