Thanks Mary for sharing that story. I love to hear about the good things that teenagers do. Our local high school changed the graduation requirements a few years ago. The students have to take a semester of community service. Then they have to present a report at the end of the class showing what they did as volunteers. My youngest daughter volunteered at a local senior center and planted a beautiful flower garden for them to walk, sit or just enjoy. She really enjoyed that class. Since then, these kids seem to go on volunteering their time for good things in their communities.
