This is probably not how I am supposed to do this, but I didn't see any other way. I am brand new to this site. Just thought i would introduce myself. I live in Alabama, have 4 cats, one overweight dog, (like her mommy) one hubby. I sew alterations for a drycleaner at their shop, then come home and sew some more. But when it is for me, or for love, it is not work. And it is colder'n a well digger's patootie right now. Laura, I think southern well diggers have warmer patooties than northern ones. Dorothy |

It's like a plumber's -- when the bend over to get a shovel full .... well, you can picture the rest. My husband gets a catalog from a company that specializes in construction trades. They have a T-shirt with a long tail that they sell as the solution to plumber's butt. Dorothy |

I have seen a well digger's patootie, years ago. lol. And, it does get cold in the south, lows in the low 20's highs in the 40's. But if it is below 70, it's too cold for me. I am just below the Tennessee line. NORTH Alabama, lol.

Hi Rea, Welcome. I am pretty new here myself; joined in Sept. I am from the Caribbean where it is pretty hot , I'm sure that I would love your tempetures there. The patootie thing got me, I do not have a clue as to what it is, I am guessing. Leila. |

Leila, a patootie, is a bum crack, which gets displayed when guys with jeans that they tend to wear below their bellies bend over to do something, or squat down, and lo and behold a patootie!! But, I don't think I'd like to find out how cold a well diggers patootie is though.

That reminds me... It wasn't a well digger but a roofer. Many years ago before my second daughter was born my neighbors house was getting a new roof and one of those guys working on it was gorgeous. He would take his shirt off to work and there was a great view from my living room. My husband couldn't figure out why all the women in the neighborhood were at our house from when the kids left for school until they came home. We went through gallons of coffee and my windows were spotless. Dorothy |

Hi Rea, Welcome to SWN. Nice to have another Alabamian on the boards. I tried to answer your p.m. but I don't think it ever went through. You're a little over an hour away from me, I think. Yes it is cooooold here right now. We're supposed to get warmer temps by Christmas Day. You never know here in the winter time. One week we wear sweaters and coats, the next week short sleeves. |

Ahh, Bama, the joys of living in the south! I am in Albertville, on Sand Mountain. I think it got cold waaay early this year.
