How big should I make a little girls tote bag. she around 4' tall. and should I make short straps or shoulder straps? Thanks- I don't have a pattern and want to make this today. |

You could put on short straps and a removable long strap. If you don't have the hardware for the removable strap -- check old bags you no longer use -- you could have it button on and off with buttons on the bag and holes in the strap. As for size -- I wouldn't make it much smaller than you would for an adult. She may be smaller but little girls often have a lot of important stuff to haul around. Mine always did. Dorothy |
