Anyone have either of these? I'm thinking of getting one of them. I have both hard wood and tile floors. |

I have a Hoover carpet cleaner that I've had for 6 yrs...it does carpet, tile just about anything. I love it, it gets my carpets clean and so far NO repairs (and now that I've said it, it will die on me... :re I especially like it on my 'vinyl' kitchen floor...the 'man' who designed and built this house decided that WHITE with a pattern was a good choice...ahhhh....no....it's a pain to keep clean. All those little dimples like to turn brown all the time. My Hoover scrubs the heck out of'em...

I have the Hoover Floor Mate. I really like it but don't use it everytime I clean my floors. I have ceramic tile throughout my home plus on the lanai & slate on the front porch. It cleans great & then sucks up the water so dries super fast. I haven't used the other one. As with anything else some prefer one over the other. If you have a friend or family that has one, maybe you could try it out first. I bought mine at Sears & was told if I didn't like it I could return it. |

Thanks ladies! I've wanted to get the Hoover Floor Mate since I first saw the commercials. I went to the store and looked at them and noticed the Bissel Flip It. It was about $40 cheaper and it has a wet side and dry vacum side (hence the name Flip It ) Now I can't decide which one to get. Hubby and I are working on putting down about 650 square feet of tiles in our basement for a den/gameroom. Our whole house is hard floors. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with just a broom, dustmop, and mop anymore. Anymore input about the machines would help alot. I have about 6 weeks to decide since that's what I'm asking for for my anniversary. |
