hi, i'm new. i'm so glad i found this website because i really need help! i misplaced the manual to my machine. i don't remember how to reduce the pressure on the presser foot and can't continue with my project until i figure it out. i have an entry level husqvarna viking machine, very basic. please help if you can. thanks! |

What exactly is your Viking? I have a 330 and I do have the manual if that's the one. |

Without knowing the exact model it is hard to say but if you can control the pressure it will be a dial on the top left hand end of the machine (above the needlebar), on the left hand end of the machine(to the left of the needlebar), or inside the faceplate(door on the left of the needlebar). If there is not a dial or lever in any of those positions the pressure is automatic and you cannot alter it.

I have the Viking 425. My manual says the presser foot pressure is the big dail on the front of the machine above the presser foot. Normal setting is 4. The highter the numbeer the more pressure on the fabric. Knit and soft fabrics should be sewn at a lower pressure setting (2). Hope this helps.
