This is me!!! 'Twas the week after Christmas, and all through the house, Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse. The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste All the holiday parties had all gone to my waist. When I got on the scales, there arose such a number! When I walked through the store, less a walk than a lumber, I remembered the marvelous meals I'd prepared. The gravies and sauces, and beef nicely rared. The wine and the rum balls, the bread and cheese, And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please." As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt, And prepared again to do battle with dirt, I said to myself as only I can "You can't spend all winter disguised as a man!" So, away with the last of the sour cream dip, Get rid of the fruitcake, every cracker and chip. Every last bit of food that I like must be banished Till all the additional pounds have vanished. No cookies, no ice cream, not even a lick. I'll only chew on a long celery stick. I won't have hot biscuits, no corn bread, no pie. I'll munch on carrots and quietly cry. I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore. But isn't that what January is for? Unable to giggle, no longer a riot Happy new Year to all, and to all a good diet! Patsy Patsy

Yep me too! Started my routine again....walking at lunch time. But can't start the diet yet as the fridge is full of left overs...turkey, chinese food, spaghetti, pumpkin cheesecake, kaluha squares, fruit cake, etc. Once the left overs go, dieting here I come.

I started back on mine today. It was hard but the fridge is full of fruit and veggies. Also sugarfree jellos, chicken and low fat things. I had to do something I gained, in 5 months since Katrina, 20 pounds of the 52 I lost. I am not going to gain it all back. I'm going to lose it before summer. It's the stress that is causing me to gain, i eat when I'm stressed out. I guess I'll have to take up another bad habit like SEWING MORE to replace the munching. But I'm determined. I made out good so far today and if I get the muchies I made up my mind I'll go to bed early. LIke before 12:00Midnight. Anyway, the holidays are over the excuses are over now it's back to businesss.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

Same here!!! I've gained back about 15 lbs of the 38 I lost when I had my surgery in July. Back to fat free yogurt for lunch and walking the dog in the evenings. Patsy Patsy
