OK. It is Monday I have checked back at least three times( :whacky: probably more :whacky: ).

Mary, you are driving me bananas :monkey: . The suspense is killing :bang: me. I am worse than the kids on Christmas  .

I am trying to wait patiently, honestly I am, it just isn't working. :whacky:

OK I am going to go do some laundry, and check back :bluesad: . I'll have to treat the site like a watched pot that never boils.

Ok, my apologies Gina. :bg: Didn't mean to take so long to post this.

First new contest or rather challenge is the Stash Challenge.
Sponsored thanks to www.scrapsmart.com

Starting today Jan. 10/06 and ending Feb. 28/06
Sew up your stash fabrics and win thttp://www.scrapsmart.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ss&Product_Code=CDVR23&Category_Code=CDHLDY

Stash fabrics are the only fabrics allowed. This is fabric you have on hand in your sewing room. Every few days post the yardage you have sewn and post on the Stash Challenge thread. I will have a separate one for all those participating. The person who sews up the most yardage wins.

Please be honest and have fun everyone.

Next contest is a little different.
Sponsored thanks to www.indygojunctioninc.com and www.thevintageworkshop.com

http://www.indygojunctioninc.com/oc_patterns.php Kitchen Kouture pattern IJ734 is the prize.
Post your favorite old fashioned recipe or menu from when you were a child. I want the list of ingredients, amounts, etc. just like in a cookbook. Describe how it was prepared, who participated and any other interesting details or memories you have. You can tell about a finicky stove or what good old Mom (or whoever cooked) did with leftovers. Memories are so precious. Anyone can enter one complete meal.

Contest begins today and ends Jan. 24/06
Decision will be made by myself and one other off-site person.

Questions, ask them now!

Mary,

Don't worry about it. I was just in a weird mood yesterday. :bluewink:

OK just to clarify on the yardage one....we measure the fabric when we start right? Not the completed item? Say if I made a dress....I wouldn't measure the dress..I'd measure how much of my original material I have left over right?

You will measure the fabric you used for the dress, not what is left over.

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been on the board much lately - and I just changed jobs last week (01/16) but I really need to use down the material in my sewing room!

Last weekend I was working on a couple of items and I am just about ready to start cutting today!

Thanks,
Georgina
