I found a 13 watt Ott-Lite craft lamp This one! (http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=113710&PRODID=138799) in the clearance aisle at Jo-anns marked down to 8.75! It was marked damaged on the box. I asked the sales clerk what was wrong with it. She said the socket wouldn't accept the bulb, it kept popping out. I opened it up to make sure the lamp itself wasn't damaged. It looked ok, so I figured I could wait for a sale and get a new bulb for it, if that was the problem.

I brought 'Otto' home, read his directions and installed the bulb - properly- and plugged him in. He flickered 3 times and came to life! I am so stoked! This lamp lists for 69.99 and is on sale right now at Jo-anns for 34.99. The best part is that I have been lusting for an Ott-Lite but the prices were out of reach even on sale, so I have been looking around for just a small lamp to put by my sewing machine.

The sewing  smiled on me today!

Wonderful !!! Aren't you glad some people don't read the directions ? LOL. I have 3 Ott lights & all were on sale. Nope, didn't get them all at once. I have the 13 watt on the desk, 18 watt at my machine & serger & the 18 watt floor lamp next to a chair. They are super. So happy for you. :bluesmile :bluesmile

That was an awesome deal. I can imagine you were so excited when your light came on!! I once got a pair of iron tables for $3 each cause a piece was broken, and being that my DH is a welder, well, I just took them home, he did a little tack job and now I have two beautiful iron tables that were originally about $40 each. Got to love those deals.
