OK I know this is a little off the wall but I am trying to find a free design of a postage stamp. Before ya'll say do a google search ,I am but I thought I would ask here if anyone knows specifically where I might find such a design.

So does anyone know where I might find a postage stamp design? Free is preferable but I might purchase one if I have too.

Thanks!
Gina

It may be against the law to duplicate postage stamps, like it is money here in the U.S.. (it doesn't mean it isn't done, but I haven't seen it in a reputable U.S. embroidery site, but then I haven't looked for postage stamps.)

There are so many free flag designs out there that you might be able to use one of those to digitize a stamp with a min. of effort, provided you have software. A little rotation and some "cutting" the flag and you might come up with a reasonable design.

These are not free, but a Nancy's notions ad came to me today and there was an ad for these:

Those are perfect but I can not justify $60 to make one fabric postcard to send to my stamp collecting father-in-law.

Thanks Aimee S! That one has some possibilities.
luv2sew, I checked AnntheGran but didn't see any postage stamps. But she did have some new stuff since the last time I was there. Oh so many embroidery designs and so little time :bg: .
I got autopunch for my birthday, I think I may try my hand at making one myself. I have yet to have any success with the software. Maybe this will be my lucky one. Item #2001.... on my things to do list. :re: Who knows if I will ever get it done.
