I received this in an email from a local quilt shop. I thought that I would share this with you. HGTV has canceled Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson. Beginning in February, all programs on Simply Quilts will be reruns of previous shows. Help us save one of the most popular (not to mention, few) quilt show on network television. Please write to HGTV at the following address. In addition, there is currently an "on-line" petition being circulated but this could be ineffective without hard mail (do sign the petition). Let your voice be heard! Fight to keep quality quilt programs in the network schedules. Do it today and be sure and tell all your quilting friends to do the same! | On another MB I belong to it was also suggested that you include a 3" square of material with your name and address on it and ask HGTV to forward them to Alex Anderson. I was able to fit my name, city and state on mine and also added "I love Simply Quilts to it! |

Thanks for the info. It is strange that this happened at this time. All these years I have not watched this show or any for that matter in the mornings. I started to watch Simply Quilts just a few weeks ago and love the show. I have stated before that quilting is my least favorite sewing but I do it to get rid of the scrapes of fabric and they make great Christmas presents, birthday and what ever presents. The show gave me a new "love" for quilting. Matter of fact Iwill add a question today about quilts. I sent in my petition right away! Thanks again Heartland. |
