Hi, I am new to this site and love it! I am looking for a rhumba skirt or capri pattern(the capri's has a halter top attached to it). Are they hard to make? Any pictures would be helpful too. Thanks! Felicia |

Hi Felicia, Welcome to Sew Whats New. It is a great group. Have you looked in the patterns at your local fabric store? Summer

Yes, I looked at Wal-Mart, but no luck. Joann's Fabric is 30 miles away(plus I forgot to look the last time I was there), I was just hoping someone had made one similar...thanks! My problem is, I see something on ebay and I want to make something like it. I don't sell on ebay or anything, Ijust sew for fun. |

Hi and welcome. Have you tried googling? You never know what you will find there.

I'm not exactly sure what a rhumba skirt is. I've made alot of things that were inspired by what I've seen on ebay (I don't sell either). Do you have a link to an auction that you like, maybe I could help.

That is really cute, but my goodness, the bidding has gone so high! If you can find a pattern, you will certainly be able to make it for less than $200!
Take care,

cute, it reminds me of an Ottobre pattern I've seen. http://www.ottobredesign.com/lehdet_js/2005_2/index.html?en go there and click on "ten portraits", you will see the one I was thinking of. Wendy

That is a cute pattern. I think it would work out great, just adding a few ruffles

I bought New Look (Easy) pattern #6361, which is almost identical to the Ebay auction, save for a few additional ruffles on the pants leg. You might take a look before you order the magazine. I paid a couple dollars for the pattern vs. $40 something for a subscription. Just a thought! |

I didn't use as many ruffles for her little sister's dress, but I think they will look great together for Easter pictures. Thank you for all your kind words. I love seeing other people's designs/ideas...keep em' coming! Feliciahttp://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j213/kdgteacher/MVC-018S.jpg |
